Right now, Javier Simpkins (in the clip above) is the youngest 6ixth Man athlete. He’s only 10, but he’s mastering pillars that will keep him from becoming the out-of-control gentleman pictured below. Submission to Truth, Preparation, Humility and Proper Motive are but a few of the attributes Javier is learning as he trains more than his skill set. Javier dreams of the NBA but no matter what level of basketball he reaches, his character will be ready to combat the destructive forces 10-year olds don’t even know exist.

People say about sports, “It’s just a game.” Fair enough. But millions beg to differ forming their identities around a silly game. They scoff at the the astronomical odds assembled against them and often times have trouble reaching an accurate realization of who they are. I wouldn’t call myself a sports enthusiast but like you, I’m enthralled by both athletics and the lessons we learn as a result of our involvement in competition. Below are three reasons I welcome you to explore the 6ixthman paradigm.
